But then the senators feared that this would lead to a monarchy for what their ancestors fought to eradicate. a group of conspirators called the liberators started to discuss plans for Caesar assassination. Leading them was the senator guyus casus longanus and his bro in law Brutus though it was a hard choice for Brutus to join them as he owes his life to Caesar but he had to because opposing unchecked power wasn’t just a political problem for Brutus it was a personal as he is the defendant of Lucius junius Brutus himself. finally, at a senate meeting when Caesar was to depart on his next military campaign as many as 60 conspirators surrounded him carrying draggers stabbed him from all sides. As the story goes Caesar struggled fiercely for his life until he saw Brutus, his final words where” and you child” falling to the ground after being stabbed 23
