Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a very smart, loving, helpful, and thoughtful person according to my grandmother. And I believe her. When I looked at his life and the things he did, I became inspired. For many years Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. stood up for African-Americans, and that really spoke to me. It also made me feel like I had to continue his legacy. But when you look at the bigger picture, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. did more than stand up for African-Americans. He risked his life for them, went out of his way for them, and did everything he could to make the life of an African-American person better. Unlike other people around the same time of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. he knew that if he wanted to make change he couldn’t use violence. He knew that violence wasn’t the answer. So he kept his speeches, protests, and marches peaceful. Practically everything he did during the Civil Rights Movement, he kept peaceful. That is why he is very important to me and is someone I look up to. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a very wise man, and I want to be like him. This quote can inform people about that. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. changed for the world for African-Americans as we used to know it. He made our lives better and was able to get us the same laws as the majority race at that time. He did all of that for African-Americans. He used everything in his power to make life better for African-Americans, and he was able to bring that change. It was because of whom he was that change was able to come. According to my grandmother such a kind, warm-hearted, supportive, affectionate, and enlightened man made one of the hugest changes on the world, and I agree with her
