Why Is Marxism Still Relevant Today

Karl Marx was a German philosopher who is strongly linked to the origin of communism from his book the communist manifesto. He was born in trier Prussia a kingdom containing some of present day Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Russia Denmark and Belgium. He spent some of his life in north London and that is where his grave is located. He hoped to create a classless communist society which would later be known as Marxism. His beliefs and work has heavily affected the history of a lot of things including politics and economics supplying the world with an alternative to capitalism that would still be popular to this day yet very few countries have adopted his philosophy. Marx believed that the world was divided between two classes, the bourgeoisie and the proletariat and said "the history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggles. he believed that someone's class dictated the way they wish to live there life and therefore a person of upper class nature have a much better life than the lower or working class. He viewed it as unfair that so many people lived in poor conditions in a world that is full of money and wealth . Marx narrowed down the fault of this to capitalism as this was in place all over the world and felt that an alternative was needed. This led him to create the communist manifesto which he wrote with Fredrik Engels and later became one of the most important political documents of all
