Moishe the Beatle and all the foreign Jews are expelled from his town. Moishe tries to tell Eliezer about the horrific treatment of the Germans.
In the novel, “Night” Elie Wiesel communicates with the readers his thoughts and experiences during the Holocaust. Wiesel describes his fight for survival and journey questioning god’s justice, wanting an answer to why he would allow all these deaths to occur. His first time subjected into the concentration camp he felt fear, and was warned about the chimneys where the bodies were burned and turned into ashes. Despite being warned by an inmate about Auschwitz he stayed optimistic telling himself a human can’t possibly be that cruel to another human.
Throughout the novel Night Elie Wiesel reveals how in just a few moments his life changed dramatically in ways he never expected. The title “Night” is a metaphor that refers to the darkness of life, and symbolizes death, the darkness of the soul, and loss of faith. In the beginning of the novel, Elie is innocent and dedicated to becoming closer to God, but once witnessing the cruelties of humankind he questions his faith as well as his strength. The Great Depression in Germany provided the political opportunity for Adolf Hitler.
There are a lot of themes in “Night” but there are a couple really big themes that are important for the reader to know, and understand and I am going to be talking about them threw this essay. Team work is a big theme with the “Night” because Ellie and his father place in a concentration camp where they are forced to work to death. They have to work with each other to survive the hard times. In the book Ellie feeds his father when he is weak and sick. They also got to work with each other in a factory to put things together or else they will be killed.
I feel like the book “night” is similar to the other books I have read about the holocaust. So far, the mood is very depressing in the book it’s constantly talking about death and everyone in the camp sound very depressed. I mean, I would be too if I was in a concentration camp but I think the author is over exaggerating it and focussing on that mood too much. The feelings the character Elie has are hopeful like he expects something to suddenly happen and he's free.
Night Essay “Night” is a term used often, usually to express a time to relax and rejuvenate, but in this memoir it takes on a completely different meaning. In Elie Wiesel’s Night, the importance of the word “night” uncovers the most terrifying memories of most of the events that took place in the holocaust. Eithout the lack of natural neccesities such as food, water, and proper shelter, the journey from one camp to the next for the jews is going to take a toll on their bodies. Elie Wiesel was a Nobel-Prize winning writer 1986, he spoke against the holocaust and the genocide. Elie was known for teaching and activist of his memoir Night. His experience at a young age during the World War II gave him the ability to go through a horrible transition in life all because of the fact that he was a Jew. He witnessed his family parish at the hands of Nazi’s. His dad died of starvation, and his mother and sister died of gas chambers.

As shown in the novel Night written by Elie Wiesel, during the Jewish Holocaust, when put in testing situations, many people act poorly towards the Jews, and the Jews show hatred towards the Germans. Also, in the short story ¨The in Group¨ by Eve Shale, a young girl by the name of Eve chooses between popularity and rightfulness. In both Night and ¨The in Group¨ it is demonstrated that crisis brings out the worst in people, because challenging situations put more pressure on people, resulting in poorer choices, and crisis additionally causes people to show selfishness.
Elie Wiesel has been through much more than any person should ever have to go through, he has witnessed unspeakable things that have happened to others, and he has lived through it all to tell the stories. He has written so many books, and made so many speeches, but perhaps two of his most famous writings were the book Night and his speech Perils Of Indifference. His book was published in 1956, and his speech was given on April 12, 1999. Both his speech, and his book talk about the horrors of the holocaust, and how it affected him. However, in the speech he reflects upon his tribulations in the camps, and what he thinks about moving forward.

Night by Elie Wiesel is a memoir of his first hand experience in the Nazi concentration camps during the Holocaust. Elie Wiesel creates a fictional character named Eliezer, the protagonist, to portray himself. At the young age of fifteen Eliezer was forced to endure stress, fear, and inhumane treatment for being born into the opposing minority group. Eliezer struggled to maintain his Jewish faith and persevere through the hardships that were forced upon him. The mistreatment of the Jews by the Germans caused Eliezer, as well as the author, to reconsider his identity and question his own standard of humanity.
This excerpt is relevant to Wiesel’s biggest fear which is that the world has not learned or has simply forgotten about the Holocaust. The line “Never shall I forget…” (Wiesel, 34) is reiterated to show how important remembering is to Wiesel. This also pertains to Wiesel 's “big idea” which is that his purpose for writing Night was to never let anyone forget about the Holocaust. He hopes that this memoir helps prevent another genocide like this, and helps motivate people to stand up to injustices.
