Romeo and Juliet Final Project Part I “Romeo and Juliet” is an incredibly famous piece known for being one of the greatest love stories of all time, which is one of the many reasons why this piece of literature is still famous today. Adding on, Romeo and Juliet is still famous today because the messages it contains about forbidden love still pertain to today’s society. The book delivers a message about the dark outcomes that may happen with forbidden love. The message of forbidden love resonates with today’s society because of the fantasies that people hold. People in a relationship that could be considered “forbidden love” may give some a rush of dopamine due to the feeling of rebellion and going “against society’s rules.” This is demonstrated in real-life relationships, such as the one between Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford, in which the age difference is at least ten years, and the relationship between Leonardo DiCaprio and his girlfriend, in which the age difference is at least 29 years.
