The Second Amendment guarantees the right of the people to own weapons and the right of the people that every state no matter the size or population gets a well regulated militia. The first right was important to the people because they need self defense. The reason the second right was there was because that the town's needed protection from certain dangers. For instance the indian raids, which was a serious threat at that time.
According to the United States constitution the second amendment was adopted on December 15,1791. The second amendment was created by James Madison. An interesting fact about the second amendment is that it’s only one sentence. James Madison is also a federalist . The meaning of a federalist is that they are a supporter
