Do you know the difference between a Juvenile and an adult? Juvenile are youth that are under age of 18 and anyone beyond that age is adult. Depending on the crimes or act committed, juvenile and adults face different consequences. Adults have the right to have a public trial by jury and juveniles do not have to face a serious consequences like adults do. Now day people are saying that juveniles who committed crimes should be tried as adult, it a popular and controversial topic going around the world. However, instead of punishing juveniles harshly for violent crimes, we must understand that they are still kids, society must take into account the need to rehabilitate their mindset, due to the fact that they are lost in the system. “Murderers, rapists, and other criminals are being released from jail everyday after serving only very short and lenient sentences. Who are these criminals and what makes them so special? The criminal s are juveniles who commit adult crimes” It not fair to treat them differently when they committed adult crimes. Imagine if you are the victim do you want the criminals to walk on streets, live as your neighbors, and for many instances committing more crimes. “All crimes committed by juveniles should and must be treated in the same regard, it not to punish heinous act, then to provide justice to the family of victims”. It saying that juveniles should be treated in adult systems because we are giving the justice to the families of victims.
