Illegal cars and why they should be legal America is full of surprising things, things that we might not even think about. The most surprising thing to me is that there are some cars the are illegal in the United states. Car’s? You might say, well yes it’s true there are many cars that are illegal in the United states. Those cars that are illegal all have reasons why. Don’t you think it's a little extreme to go as far as banning cars in the united states? Thats why im going to go over the type’s of cars that the (NHTSA) national highway traffic safety administration has banned and why those cars should be legalized in america. An illegal car means any car that the NHTSA sees as non eligible or not safe enough for the united states safety requirements it’s prohibited or forbidden to be driven on U.S. roads. The NHTSA has tests that each car has to pass in order for it me be legal in the united states. Each car has to go through crash avoidance safety standards, and crashworthiness safety standards. Each one of these test go over all of the car's features and make sure they perform the way they were made to without any problems. When each car goes through the crash test they are testing everything about that car making sure the when is gets hit from the front, back, left side, right side, roof, curb impact, dynamic rollover, any way to crash a vehicle they will go over it and test it and make sure it passes before selling the vehicle to the public. Main test they do are ones that happen most commonly like getting rear ended, hit from the front, or the sides, they test by pulling the car to simulate it driving straight into a solid wall and hitting the car from the sides. When they did the car safety test most cars didn't pass or didn’t meet safety requirements to be sold in united states, but did meet other countres safety
