World War Two caused the death of millions of innocent people and the destruction of thousands of years of civilisation through the viciousness of mankind. World War Two started on the 3rd of September 1939 when the allied forces declared war against Germany after the unprovoked attack of Poland and didn’t end until 1945 with the defeat of the Japanese imperial forces. The battle of Kokoda began on July 21st 1942 when the Japanese imperial army invaded Papua New Guinea with the intent of capturing Port Moresby and using it as a launching point onto Australian soil. The battle ended on January 23rd 1943, resulting in an Allied victory. There were four peoples at war in Kokoda, those were the Australians and the Americans, who were allied.
Why is it important to remember the Holocaust? That is the question we ask, but if you think about it, why wouldn’t the Holocaust be something to forget. Here are three main points to remember: Why it happened, the consequences of the act, and when/how we can learn and prevent something on this scale from happening again. 1993, Nazi Germany. There were many people involved, such as the Nazis, America Britain , and an untold story of a spy who used her intelligence, beauty, and the power of seduction to help win the war. Her nickname was the ¨ blond Bond” they called her this because of how good of a spy, she was and they both were known for using their sexuality to their advantage. There were many things that happened in the war, but if Adolf Hitler was not such an evil man we would have never had to go to war for a second time.
The Holocaust should be taught to 8th Grade Students because it would teach too much power. In the book, “I Have Lived A Thousand Years,” the Nazi’s gain ro much power. But all power gained vaninshises from the defeat. I believe it should be taught to 8th Grade Students because a few 8th graders experience one person gaining too much power, and that is called Bullying.
If students learn about the Holocaust, it can teach them to not oppress a group of people because they’re different. When kids learn about the Holocaust, they think it’s wrong and that it shouldn’t have happened.
The Holocaust is an important subject to be taught in schools, because it teaches students valuable morals, helps them explore themselves, and it is important for people to learn from history. The Holocaust involved many people from many different backgrounds, so it can be related to students. In the Holocaust people from certain backgrounds were targeted and sent to work in labor and death camps. Of these groups the most famous are the Jews, who were sent to work in these camps until they died resulting in the death of between 5 and 6 million Jews living in Europe.

The Holocaust is a severely important event in Jewish and German History. It was the death of 6 million Jews. Surprisingly, 33% of adults in a survey didn’t even know what it is. This could be the fault of the American School system not requiring most states to teach about the Holocaust. It is important that eighth graders learn about the Holocaust at this time because it allows students to think about what it would be like if they were in the situation and how difficult it might be
The Holocaust was the biggest and most world known genocide that has ever happened in the world, matter of fact it is the only one that schools really seem to care and want to inform their students mostly about. But the remaining question that has been brought up throughout years is if the Holocaust should take a seat and teachers explore other genocides with their students to bring attention to newer worse causes. There are many reasons why we should teach children about the Holocaust in school in 8th grade. One of the reasons is the valuable skills they will learn. Students will learn to put themselves in other people's shoes and understand the decisions they make along with learning not to use prejudice or racism. A quote from an article at AnneFrank.org talks about the information and skills students can learn from a lesson about Anne Frank or the Holocaust. Students learn “Where anti semitism can lead to”, where “discrimination can lead to”, and discussing the “choices and dilemmas people faced during the war and also that history is not so clear cut.”
Ordinarily, if we are to teach these high school students about the Holocaust, consequently, it would greatly help them understand the violence and death that occurred during this time. A crucial part that should be taught is, “Understanding how and why the Holocaust occurred can inform broader understandings of mass violence globally, as well as highlight the value of promoting human rights, ethics, and civic engagement that bolsters human solidarity.” (Unesco. The Holocaust should be taught to students in middle school so they are more aware of what could happen and so they can actually think about the situation. Teaching the Holocaust to students engages the curiosity of many students and encourages them to think critically and participate. The Holocaust is an interesting topic for most kids at school because there is so much that happened. This adds a personal growth to students critical and intellectual aspect.
World war i and World War ii helped us learn alot about peace. After wars there are things they did so that they wouldn’t get into another war. Some of the things they did worked. I feel that there will end up being another world war. This can happen for many reasons.
Many people, if not all people, were affected by both of the World Wars. We often imagine that everyone was happy with the end of the war such as Primo Levi who survived Auschwitz during World War II. What we sometimes forget is the other side of the story, such as how Adolf Hitler felt and Benito Mussolini after the Great War. We know quite well Hitler didn’t take his defeat of World War II very lightly, killing himself in his bunker before anyone had the chance to capture or kill him. Neither side of the War should be ignored, for from each we can learn something.
