“Most daringly of all, the novel design featured a revolving gun turret, the first of its kind ever proposed and a direct forerunner of the rotating guns on modern warships.” If these men had not come up with this idea during the Civil war, it likely would have taken many years until another war before they figured it out. It led the way to better ships for each future
Inside of the long rifle, the barrel was made with grooves, which made the weapon more accurate than the flintlock smoothbore musket. They used this to help them spread out the North’s forces and break them apart. This was a huge technological advance because there wasn’t any heavy artillery at this time. The goal was always for them to try and find the perfect balance between a cannon that could give out a big shot, while also being able to light and mobile enough so they could move it if they needed
THE TANK World War One, also known as the Great War, was one of the most devastating wars in history. From 1914-1918 the world was plunged into hell on land, in the air, and on the sea; the globe was caught in a constant battle. WW1 served as an open door to new technological advancements off and on the battlefield. One of these great advancements developed during the war was the tank. The tank was one of the most effective machines in WW1, and in order to establish its significance research will be conducted to explore its background and how it developed throughout the war and the role it played.
The development of the advanced technological M1 Garand rifle helped the infantry soldiers in World War II. The M1 Garand rifle was developed in 1932 and was very popular with soldiers because of its durability and power. The gun was designed by John C Garand.
