The word of war is heard everyday. However, it is not known what is the meaning of it. War is a state of competition or hostility between different people or groups.This competition can not be occurred just guns. It can be taken place politically, economically and ideologically. It is called that cold war. Cold war term actually refers conflict between USA and USSR after 1945. After the industrial revolution, a working class and several political ideas has come to exist. Workers have gotten to work under harsh conditions. Class struggle appeared. Some ideas such as socialism and communism were on the side of the workers and they have argued that class struggle can be solved allied with rising of working class. On the other hand, capitalist ideas were rising up and it has supported free market economy and competitive market. …show more content…

Many countries followed Russia. At the same time, wars were continuing and too many people died, economies collapsed. After World War II, Stalin pursued an expansionist policy and USA felt threatening. NATO has been established in 1949 and following this Warsaw Pact signed in1955. Thus, the World divided into three blocs as eastern, western and non-aligned movement. Due to devastation, people did not want to make war. However, political ideologies clash. Therefore, the conflict continued in political areas. Since countries want to demonstrate their supremacy, they did much development during the cold war. Besides, ending the cold war affected the World and its effects still remain. Hence, there are too many results of cold war.
