To Banning Or Not To Ban Advertising is a way for business to regulate their own marketing, to gain customers and to get their product out. You can see advertising all over on posters, listening to the radio and when watching tv. Most of the advertising influences children and young adult. Why, you may ask? Because childern and young adults are easier targets. What they see around them impacts their growing minds. Some experts believe that advertising has promoted unhealthy eating habits. Alot of the ads that get seen herein the United States feature fast food restaurants, violent video games or movies not suited for children. When children see these types of things they will ask for them, when they see them. In the United States it is easier for children and young adults to get access to these types of things here. Advertising can be a good thing in some cases. For example, when you see a tv commercial about healthy dieting and playing outside. Many children now prefer to eat fast food and to be on tablets or game consles. Promoting children to eat a piece of fruit a day is good advertising. Finding games to play outside or joining a sport will encourage children to be active. I also believe that parents also play a huge role in what they let their child listen to and watch. If you let your child read a magazine made for adults and they see violent video games. They will then want to play that video game. But the parent was the one that let their child look through that magazine. Advertisiing is just a tool, how a person uses that tool is what affects its value. I do think that with the proper use, ads could become a valuable tool to help our economy and business grow.
