All humans are fighting both inside and outside. This is part of their nature that will never change. In the novel, Lord of the flies,written by William Golding the conflicts of man vs. man, man vs. nature, and internal conflict drives the course of events. Man vs nature when the boys are on a island and they are trying to survive in the nature. In the nature anything could happen you don’t know when or where. The boys chanted, “ kill the first pig: Kill the pig. Cut her throat. Spill her blood (Golding 96). When you are in the outdoors (nature) you need to make sure you know where you are, make sure you have water, and other supplies. If you don’t have water, food,and other supplies you could die but you don’t know when. Mankind would not survive without nature. Man vs himself when you are having an internal conflict you can have an issue. When you have an internal conflict you could have major issues. Internally, “…fear can't hurt you any more than a dream. There aren't any beasts to be afraid of on this island . . . Serve you right if something did get you, you useless lot of cry-babies!" (5.79) Internal conflicts can have mental and internal issues also you could want to kill yourself. At some point we all have internal conflicts. In Lord Of The Flies there is conflict all throughout the book. Throughout society men fight which symbolizes man vs man. We need nature to survive, nature does not need us.
