Pulling someone down will never help you reach the top. Nobody has the right to define who you are. Be true to yourself, because your opinion is the only thing that matters. Respect people's feeling. Even if it doesn’t mean anything to you. It could mean everything to them. In Lord of the Flies, a plane carrying a group of British schoolboys is shot down over the Pacific. The pilot of the plane is killed, but many of the boys survive the crash and find themselves deserted on an uninhabited island, where they are alone without adult supervision. They form a big group and the main character, Ralph, is the leader. Jack, the bully, wants to be the leader and competes to have that position. Jack is just wanting to kill something. He doesn’t take his time and gives up to easy. Throughout chapters 1-3 they talk about Jack being a bad hunter. Jack is a terrible hunter because he just wants to go out and kill something so they can eat. He needed to realise if you have patients then he will find food. Jack only thinks about hunting and when his boys don’t work he gets pissed. They were all too busy racing each other and didn’t want to hunt ( Golding 28). Jack's hunting group didn’t want to help him hunt and would rather mess around then look for food. They are boys unsupervised so of course they are going to mess around. Jack was just so bull headed and wanted to hunt the whole time. He wants to show that he can be a good leader so he wants to kill the beast in chapters 7-9. Jack just wants to hunt the beast and not care about the safety of others. Jack is just power hungry and wants to hunt and kill things. He is only thinking about himself the whole time they are on the
