Blake describes how social hierarchy has always been in the world and that can affect our view in things.. The church officials thought the orphans would be happy serving the higher class since the church officials are servants of God and in their religion they refer to God as the most powerful being. They thought the orphans would be happy serving the higher class, and the orphans were meant to serve. Whispering words telling the orphans that if they do their duty, they would go to heaven and meet God too. The church officials thought they were better and had a better position than most people so they assumed that people should feel entitled to serve them.
I’ll put a hook later. In the novel Lord of the Flies, by William Golding, a group of around 30 boys get into a plane crash and end up stranded on an island. They struggle to gather food and resources, as well as building shelter. They hope to be rescued but instead of working together, they separate into groups and fight amongst themselves, even resulting in death. They fail to choose a clear leader and the boys become divided because of this.
In Lord of the Flies, by William Golding, leadership is an important element. Without it, everything would be chaotic and unorthodox. Jack, as a leader, helps everyone to take care of the problems they are facing in the moment; and that is why I would follow him over anyone else in the novel. His actions resemble what coaches would look for in their athletes, but less extensive. For instance, a football coach focuses on the week they are on instead of thinking about finals.
In the book, Lord of the Flies, there are many characters that others could consider as leaders. However, Ralph would be the person I would follow because he has many leadership skills such as setting rules for others safety, caring for others, and last but not least, he is not power hungry. Ralph is a good leader because he sets the rules for everyone. In the book, Ralph decided that he was going to make rules for everyone to follow and so they don’t lose anyone.
In the novel lord of the flies by william golding i think he tries to show the difference in the types of leaders that Ralph and Jack are. One way he shows the difference between them is by showing that Ralph is more responsible and civilized than Jack. Then Jack is more selfish and savage and he gets more respect for it. Ralph is a more responsible and civilized leader to the group. Ralph is more of a logical leader because he thinks about what to do that could better the group then fail it.
In the novel Lord of the Flies, Ralph represents leadership and management, but has the loss of knowledge like Piggy has and is not as cold-blooded as Jack. Ralph relates to Martin Luther King Jr. ’s quote because he goes through many difficulties such as building shelters for the littluns and creating a signal fire to be rescued. In the very beginning of the book, Ralph takes the lead alone when the time comes to explore the castle rock, despite the fears of the so-called beast. Also in chapter two when Ralph said “and if we have a signal going they’ll come and take us off.”
From 1924- to 1953, Stalin was the absolute leader of the U.S.S.R, even though he did not make the best or the most thoughtful decisions. He was one of the strongest leaders in the entire history of The United Socialist Soviet Republic. However, many argue that because of the things Stalin ordered others to do, he wasn't the most rational leader, while the same phenomenon is brought up in William Golding's age novel, Lord of the Flies. In this story, a group of boys end up on a stranded island, and to keep everything in the proper order, they have to assign a leader. After a short vote by hands, a boy named Ralph takes the potions of leadership, while another boy, Jack, is highly jealous of Ralph being chosen chief and not him.
Throughout history man has debated the amount of rules necessary to govern society. In the novel “Lord Of the Flies”, William Golding depicts the evils of mankind. Set during a time of war a group young british schoolboys survive their plane crashing into the ocean after being shot down. The young boys were forced to govern themselves by determining who would lead them, and what rules were necessary for them to survive until they are rescued. Golding used the conch to symbolise the initial rule of leadership.
Ralph was elected chief upon arrival of the island as he brought everyone together and showed his initiative. Ralph used the conch to bring everyone together to sort everything out. He decided that being rescued was the first priority and as a result started a fire to signal down ships. Ralph was the only one to step up to the challenge, which is shown in all great leaders. Secondly, Ralph has the essential quality of being confident and calm.
In William Golding's novel, "The Lord of the Flies," various themes of leadership are explored. One of the central themes is the struggle for leadership, which is evident throughout the novel. The lack of consistency in leadership leads to feuds, battles, and deaths among the boys on the island. However, Ralph is undoubtedly the most rational, civilized, and orderly leader, making him the best leader among the boys on the island.
When a society is faced with desperate conditions, the leaders will divide into two parties, rather than staying together as one. For example, in the novel Lord of the Flies, by William Golding, it shows a group of boys who divide amongst themselves and separate into two parties, each with their own traits. However, when this happens, the boys must choose which side they would like to become a part of. In the novel, a group of school boys crash land on a deserted island with no adults. The unexplored island offers the boys a new found freedom.
An excellent leader possesses many characteristics that complement one another. One fundamental component of developing the perfect leader is for the leader to be selfless. Ralph from William Golding's Lord of the Flies is a fictional character who exhibits this quality. In the novel, a group of British boys aged 6 to 12 are stranded on a deserted island with no adults. The boys elect Ralph as their leader and Ralph's top priority as leader is to get everyone to be rescued.
“Communism is not love. Communism is a hammer which we use to crush the enemy.” Guys, we are now in a very difficult situation, if we want to survive and be rescued on this island, our manage system must be communism. There is only one leader among us, that person is me, Ella. I am a good leader, I believe that to be an ideal leader must be intelligent, passionate and communicative.
In our society we’ve always had leaders, people who stand up and direct others to jobs, it’s just part of our society and everyone has expected it. Teachers encourage to stand up and take charge when in groups which only reflects the outside world as well, however some people don’t fit that model and instead they are looking for someone to lead them, someone to be responsible for their decisions because they can’t take the pressure and/or the consequences that come with their decisions. The boys in the Lord of the Flies by William Golding all look for someone else to take charge and tell them what to do. Need someone in charge so they can blame someone when things go wrong? They immediately look for someone to take charge and lead them, to tell them everything's gonna be okay.
Synthesis Writing Assessment “All persons ought to endeavor to follow what is right, and not what is established.” (Aristotle) In mob mentality people follow what is established. Mob mentality occurs when people forget about their own beliefs and follow what everyone else is doing.
