The simple task of packing a backpack soon escalated to what students at Wilson Southern Middle School describe as a stampede of buffalo running in a tight canyon. Everyday when the last school bell has rang, eighth grade students rush out of their classes and sprint to the lockers, like tributes in the Hunger Games towards the cornucopia, to pack their belongings and report home. Eighth grade student such as, Abby Meckley was overheard saying that she has been knocked over multiple times trying to get down the stairs to her bus. Abby Meckley’s other fellow students had also pushed and shoved eighth grade student, Rachel Kovach into lockers in the downstairs hallway. Daily, students are reportedly slamming lockers, screaming, shoving people
