IDENTIFICATION AND EVALUATION OF SOURCES
The focus of this investigation will be “To what extent was the cause of the switch of men to women being in the work force and face of propaganda in World War II?” Men were faced to go to war and women had to stay behind and essentially, do the job that the men had left behind. In which, women did not have the right to work and were supposed to stay home and be the housewife’s, but during this time period things took a switch, in which made it possible for women to start working. They had the opportunity to join the navy, army, and marines and even become doctors, nurses and many more careers.

In which, they used the face of women in order to get people to join such acts as the navy, the army, the marines and big military corporations such as these, in order for the message to get convey and just let women know that they are able to join such things like this and you don’t have to be a men for it, because during this time period, it was becoming known more that women were able to do the same job as a man and she can even do it much better. One of the propaganda poster says “Wish I could join too!” and it shows a little girl looking at a picture of her mother in a navy uniform. It also says that you should serve your country in the waves meaning that the navy is based on the branch of a nation’s armed service that conducts military operations at sea. Giving little girls as her the example that they can also join too, like their mothers did. Also, it wasn’t just about military but also work force. During this time period, they needed as much help as they could of possible get because the supplies that were being made were for the men who were fighting in the war, and it was things such as guns, gas mask, and thing as such, in order for them to guarantee that they would win the war.

It gives its main ideas and backs it up with information of the text that are being used in this investigation in order to create a stronger argument. I do really think that women had an immense change in World War II in which was in the workforce and even in propaganda because they were basically the people who took over for the boys while they were fighting at war. As well as, being the new face of posters. It was in a sense the way women were perceived at the end, because they were actually being taken serious for once in their life and finally had the chance to show that they were capable of working and showing people that woman too could work just as well as man
