During World War II and after World War II women played a significant role in sustaining the economy in Europe. As four percent of the population died, there was a significant labor shortage in Europe. In which, women stepped in to complete the job that men could no longer do. However, to understand the role women played, there must be understanding to what happened to the economy after the war, and how women taking on simple jobs helped Europe to achieve to what Europe is today.
