In the world today there are many different forms of energy available to us to use. Throughout the early history of energy, wood was a very common source. In ancient Greece, Rome, and in the rest of the world during the medieval era mostly everyone burned wood as their fuel source. Even today many homes are heated by wood. “Wood energy” was used in many ways. It was used to cook food, warm the houses, and give light. But with everyone using wood people ran low and that is when people started using coal. Wood energy can be called heat energy now, which we use heat energy to help with electrical energy, and even nuclear energy. These three energy sources if all put together can create electricity, Nuclear power stations turn nuclear energy in …show more content…

When we add energy to an object, its atoms and molecules move faster increasing its energy of motion of heat. The whole universe is made of up matter and energy. Matter is made up of atoms and molecules, the movement of atoms and molecules is what creates heat energy which is present in all matter. Many types of energy can be converted into heat energy, such as light, electrical, mechanical, chemical, nuclear, sound, and thermal energy itself can all cause a substance to heat when the molecules speed up. When energy is put into a system it heats it up, take the energy away it cools it down. For example when you are cold, you can jump up and down to get warmer. Electrical energy is a standard part of nature, and today is the mostly used form of energy. Electrical energy is the energy that is stored in charged particles within an electric field. Electric fields are just areas surrounding the charged particle. In similar words, charged particles create the electric fields that exert force on the other charged particles with in the field. The electric field applies the force to the charged particle, which causes it to move, which is it doing work. A good example of electrical
