World Religion Essay
In this world, we face many different ideas of our Gods and our faiths. Some of us are Polytheistic and others Atheistic. Buddhism strays from the idea of an “average religion.” This religion in particular is more based off of a philosophy for man unlike many religions such as Christianity where you devote your ideals towards God. The Buddha is seen as a religious figure who found Enlightenment through the 4 Visions. He had seen a the suffering of the world and created the 4 Noble Truths and 8 Fold Path. These are the foundational beliefs of Buddhism.
The 4 Noble Truths are speaking upon the inevitable fate of suffering. These statements are vague because The Buddha leaves the beliefs to the followers own experiences to truly understand the 4 Noble Truths. To do this you must enter a state of deep meditation Unlike, Hinduism the idea of meditation is to clear our minds of all pleasurable things where meditation for Hinduism is prayer for the different gods. Deep Meditation occurs at different times for different people. For some it can be under thirty minutes for others it could take days. This gives followers a freedom to find themselves at different times and due to different thoughts it gives people all one goal to reach without a rule on how to reach this.
Nirvana is a state of Enlightenment in which you have shown mastery in all of the 8 Fold Path.. When you have reached this you understand all of life suffering and how this affects the way of life itself. Once you have reached Nirvana you will cease to be reborn. The cycle of life and death stop and there are many ideas of where you go and that is the main idea of Buddhism. You all have your own ideals of The Buddha, Rebirth,
