“The two opportunities I was able to go to the State Tournament were definitely my highlight moments.” Degler said. “It’s an experience you don’t always get to have, and we had a good group of girls who played hard and it all came together for us, we didn’t know it at the time but it’s something you look back on and remember.”
Rodeos are big events all over the country. Families come from all over to enjoy watching cowboys compete at the rodeos. While some people come to rodeos to document the abuse and harm that the cowboys are causing the animals. It is a big controversy whether rodeos are animal abuse or not. Animal rights activists are trying to stop rodeos from “abusing” animals, but they don’t know the extensive care that the animals are given.
In the National Collegiate Athletic Association wrestling is one of the top five viewed championships in college sports, but how are we supposed to know who we like best when we only get to see them in the playoffs? I believe that there should be more college wrestling on TV. There should be more wrestling on TV because it’s unfair. There’s NCAA football and basketball on television all the time, so why shouldn’t there be wrestling too? Eighty-three percent of the people I interviewed agreed with me on this subject.
Is cheerleading a sport? Yes, cheerleading is a sport. Many people may argue that cheerleading doesn 't take any real skill, although it actually requires a lot . Cheerleading is very dangerous, takes high amounts of dedication, also fits all the aspects of being a sport, including competition. Contact sports are the reason kids are getting hurt. Contact sports are good for kids. An Argument for College Sports Ever since I can remember I have been a die-hard Oklahoma fan. No doubt this is due to my father’s love for team, which was passed down by his father. I guess it runs in our family, because every Saturday during football season most of my is family huddled tightly around our TV watching the game. College sports are a very big deal in America, and huge universities are benefiting from them.
Professional Wrestling is something a person either loves or hates. But, a lot of people judge it before they even watch it. Line: Something that is always being debated is whether Pro Wrestling is a sport or not. Argument/Claim/Thesis: Pro Wrestling is a sport, this is why. It is backed up by the definition of a sport and it is wildly popular.
We all have dreams and after college is all finished, we will be pursuing them. Some of us we 'll be heading into a career in teaching, maybe a career in the medical field, some of us need multiple years of college to achieve our desired profession, some maybe just two or three. But in my case, I actually don 't need any college whatsoever to join my profession as I want to become a professional wrestler. Yes, the stuff you see on TV like the WWE. In many cases, the dream of becoming a professional wrestler is something that 'll go away with age because when people get older, they normally will come to see it as childish and fake.
When a child turns 18, they open to many more responsibilities than any other teenage birthday. When a child is 18, they are not considered a kid anymore, they are adults. One of the many perks of being 18 is kids can vote and they can enlist in the army. In 1984, President Reagan had signed the National Minimum Drinking Age Act, and this required all states to set the drinking age to 21. If an 18 year old can enlist in the army, and put their life at risk they should be able to drink alcohol at 18.
Out of high school, many students receive scholarships to follow their passion of playing sports; these college athletes take on the responsibility of being a leader to their universities and their team. Student athletes should view playing sports as an addition to completing their studies, not a replacement. Many believe student athletes should solely focus on bettering their “game” in order to make it to the professional sports league. While this is important, student athletes should also be expected to go above and beyond with their actions in and out of the classroom. College athletes should be held accountable for their education as well as their behavior, by both them-selves and their coaches.
But the question that Britain has been asking in recent years is, should these matters be left to rugby? At what point does violence on the playing field become a judicial matter? At what point do we ask whether the high numbers of assaults on a Saturday night are nurtured by unpunished violence on the field of play. I think there are many myths and assumption surrounding the issue of violence in sport. I think one myth surrounding this problem is that the people committing these acts of violence on the sports field shouldn’t be criminally convicted because they are doing such things in a controlled environment.
Being challenged in life is inevitable, being defeated is an option. At some points in my life I’ve hated the sport of wrestling. At other I’ve never loved anything more. All in all, wrestling has taught me a lot about myself. When i placed at the state tournament, I learned that no matter where someone comes from they can do big things, if they have the right mindset and the determination.
Wrestling or sport entertainment, as it call now a days can be as fake as you want to know. The truth about this sport is that all the performance push their body to levels of punishment that no other athletes are able to support. A wrestler on the high of their career can be performing over 5 nights a week. During those matches their bodies are in intense pain and are not able to recover since they have to be ready for next round the following day. Twenty years ago, Randy 'The Ram' Robinson was a successful wrestler; now he is decadent, living alone in a trailer, working part time in a supermarket and wrestling in the weekends.
I have had an experience where a game was less fun than usual at my lacrosse tournament. When parents were using foul laungauge at the referees out about a bad call they had made on the play feild. With this competitive nature, sports still can be greatly beneficial for you. Competitive youth sports are worth the drawbacks to gain the benefits because sports have proven to improve your child self confidence and commitment. Studies in the past year have shown that when sports are intense your child grows mentally.
In this day and age with professional athletes being at the top of the social spectrum, youth sports have gotten very popular. “More than 26 million children ages 6 to 17 played team sports in 2014(Rosenwald).” Youth sports are very popular because it brings the great feeling of being on a team. When you are on a team you feel like you can do anything together, and nothing is stopping you. There are also many flaws in youth sports.
