Her research interests include the American presidency, political parties, and political rhetoric. She is the author of “Delivering the People’s Message: The Changing Politics of the Presidential Mandate.” Dr. Azari assessed what changed the 2016 election changed and what it revealed. She explained what a political mandate is and when they are used.

Will I be discovered, will my life end tonight, or will I save thousands of Union soldiers lives with the valuable confederate plans that I have hidden in the sole of my shoe? That is a moment of my life in the civil war as Pvt. Franklin Thompson. But my real name is Sarah Emma Edmonds. I was born in December in 1841 and I lived in Canada.
The advice or overall message I took from Liz Murray was to accept the things you can’t change and to work on the things you can change. This means to acknowledge the things that already happened, in good or in bad, and focus on where and what you can do in your existence. This relates to the book because Liz didn’t have a great foundation growing up, she used that as an excuse not to go to school. She faced many difficulties that she couldn’t change, like not being able to save or be there for her mom through her slow, long death to AIDs. but soon after the death of her mother she then met the right people who lead her down the right path.
Freedom of speech and other freedoms guaranteed to American citizens by the First Amendment protect our right to information and expression of opinions, which can be infringed upon when books are banned. Book banning refers to the practice of forbidding the use of certain books in school libraries or curricula. Due to this practice, many books have been banned in the United States. One victim of book banning is Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson which was banned in all K-12 grades in 2022 due to its perceived political viewpoint, alleged bias against male students, depiction of rape, use of profanity, and portrayal of suicidal ideation. While Speak does display sensitive and mature topics such as sexual assault and self-harm, which should be restricted for
If my reading can be described as a train journey, my station would be at the border of reading to learn, and reading for sheer pleasure. While reading Speak, by Laurie Halse Anderson, the subject matter was not “enjoyable,” but it was necessary, when you consider how important it is to address the effects of sexual violence and harassment. Walking in the steps of the main character who has experienced trauma, on the surface, nothing is what it seems. In the beginning, I see a lonely, hopeless girl, who has lost interest in everything, yet I knew there was a reason behind her belligerence and disinterest. My interest in serious young adult novels stems from how young women are treated.

As my Canadian writer, I picked Margaret Atwood to create a Prezi on her history of poetry and her writings. For the reason of she was the first name on the list I recognized. Secondly, when I searched her name, she seems to be interesting to research on, and I am pleased I selected Margaret as my poet. Not to mention I learned an abundance of new information about her and that Margaret Atwood has some incredible poems and short stories. As well as, Margaret has evolved, so hugely from being a student with dreams to momentarily has fulfilled her dreams of pursuing writing.
“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.” As Richard Puz writes, death and love are important themes that either influence one’s life in a negative or positive way. For Dorothy Parker, a writer in the roaring twenties, love and death were both negative aspects in her life. However, her love life, childhood filled with deaths, and her addiction to alcohol, all played a role in her literature. Two of her most famous poems that portray these themes are “One Perfect Rose” and “Resumé”, which were written in 1926.

“The Medium is the Message” “The Medium is the Message” is a statement made by Marshall McLuhan in 1964, concerning the way in which the perception of a medium, in other words ‘the form in which a message is presented’, determines the audience’s perception of that message. The statement means to emphasise how our pre-set expectations of different mediums such as newspapers, television, movies or documentaries effect what messages we receive. For example, if you were to watch a documentary about exorcisms and possessions, you would give it more credit than watching a horror movie, even if it claims to be ‘based on true events’. This is because we have a predetermined view that documentaries will present us with credible facts, to educate or inform us, whilst a movie’s only purpose is for entertainment. The validity of this statement is
However, choosing the appropriate technology is essential to the success of the advertising industry because different markets prefer different ways of conveying information. The use of applications in phones or e-commerce to order goods and services all over the world may be appropriate to a certain market, but media may be appropriate to an illiterate market (Porter, 1998). The development of smart phones is also an added advantage to the development of marketing activities in the advertising industries. For instance, in Singapore China the Taxi industry uses the application in the smart phones to access the consumers. Although the media are one of the appropriate medium to convey the adverts to the consumers,
