Anna Nicole Smith was famous for being a playboy center-fold, along with being married to J. Howard Marshall, who was Anna’s senior by sixty years. Anna came from nothing and from a hard childhood. She was raised in a small Texas town and followed her dreams to fame. She, since childhood, wanted to be the next Marilyn Monroe, which some say she became. Anna Nicole was additionally a mother.
Anna Nicole Smith was known to live for her kids, but also had a hard childhood. She was a high school dropout and grew up without her father around. This encouraged her to be a better mother but gave her a hard start to life. She had a son Daniel, that she conceived during her first marriage, and she raised him mostly as a single mother. Anna married her first husband at seventeen. To add to such a hard life, her son Daniel passed away from an accidental drug overdose. I loved Anna Nicole and watched her short lived television series every showing and I followed her in the media. I looked up to her. She showed so many girls that no matter your background you can become anything in life. After watching her behavior on her show, I cannot honestly say I was completely surprised by Anna’s death, but I was completely heartbroken. I also still follow her daughter and her few showing in Hollywood. I hope for Dannielynn to not have the same hardships that her mother had, but she has a great dad that honors Anna to Dannielynn, helping her through life. I believe Anna’s death, at least for my generation, brought to light the ease of accidental consequences with medication to many of the nation’s young females. But as the years pass, sadly, her death is fading, and people are forgetting her struggles. This leads to no long term change in people’s mindsets on mental issues and
