President Donald J. Trump's decision involving the Israeli and Palestinian dispute over Jerusalem has left both countries in an even more complicated conflict then before. Although the decision on who holds the holy land of Jerusalem may have angered the current Arab World due to the controversial issue of control of land, the strife between the Palestinians and Israelis trails back to the 1948 War, and has been a continuous struggle since then. Both the Palestinians and the Israelis believed the holy land of Jerusalem belongs to their side of land and were willing to fight for it. Prior to the split of Israel, the UK had control of a large portion of Palestine, from 1920 to 1948, known as the British Mandate or Palestine Mandate. Once World War II was completely over in 1945, the UK suffered many attacks from the Zionists, which were the supporters of Jewish land, causing them to repeal from the mandate in 1947. The UN then introduced an agreement that would include both Arab and Jewish portions of land in Palestine, which was supported by the Zionists and declined by the Palestinians, causing the declaration of independence of Israelis from the Palestinian state. The Israelites began to take land from the Palestinians, causing those who were settled to get up and leave due to the Israelites debate that the land was not claimed officially.
