In costa rica the education standards are the littests difference from the U.S. government, they are required to go to school but they don’t have a certain age limit you have to go to school in costa rica, like the United States has, but they do have a very well educated population in costa rica. And the food that they eat is different and the way they get there to school.
In costa rica they first have to school to primary school which lasts 6 years, and in that you learn all the basic stuff like, reading, writing, math, and science. If and when you complete primary school you go to post primary school this school basically is learning 3 different languages, which is required for any job in costa rica which you go to for 2 years.

If you are going to school you are most likely going to take a small school bus if your parents car then you you will take a small cramped car to school because costa rica does not have very much factories so they have to import most of its goods. In costa rica you learn the basic necessities of life: reading, writing, science, math, talking , the alphabet, basic everyday things. In costa rica some might think that the schools may be corrupt or religious but actually religion has nothing to do with schooling. Schooling if influenced on what the government does to it, so yeah it is kind've corrupt but much of it is not.
