The Bahamas is an island country consisting of more than 700 islands. They are a lot like Australia, as their official language is English, their currency is the Bahamian dollar and they also so run on a Parliamentary system just like Australia. They have a population of 351,275 people. In Bahamas the average yearly income per person is $21,418. Remember this is the average so some people could be payed a lot more than this and others could be paid really poorly. This all depends on your occupation and which company you work for, and how much their hourly rate is. Australia has a population of 22.6 million people, with around 5.9 million visitors per year. Their average yearly income per person is $31,197, which is only a little bit more than people get paid in the Bahamas. Like most people say, money does not buy happiness.
Statistics show that in 2012 there are 6,500 people who live in the Bahamas that have HIV, whereas also in 2012, Australia was said to have a massive 18,000 people with HIV. This may suggest that Bahamians are more hygienic or may have a better …show more content…

Before attending primary school in both Australia and Bahamas, you have to attend a kinder school or a day care to prepare yourself for the future. In 2003, students living on the Bahamas Islands, school attendance rate was 92%, and their literacy rate was 95.5%. In both Australia and Bahamas, you are able to go to college or university once you have finished your schooling years. There are a few issues in both countries with parents sending their kids to public schools over private schools. There seems to be a problem here in Australia with people having a perceived idea of what a public school is like, and what people are like that attend these schools. There are more public schools than private schools on the Bahamas Islands, as the government’s first priority is schooling and giving each child the best education
