Write An Essay On Energy In The Us

There is no way that can expect the unexpected when it comes to energy resource in the United States. The market is ever so changing and who know what scientists will come up with next. In the US we use a couple of different resource for energy some are better than others but we are working on ways to figure which is best for the environment. The first one I would like to talk about it Bio energy also known as biomass. Biomass consists of organic material derived from living or recently living organism and it contains chemical energy that originated with sunlight photosynthesis. We harness bioenergy from many types of plant matter, including wood from trees, charcoal from wood charred in the absence of oxygen and matter from agricultural crops as well as combustible animal waste products such as cattle manure. …show more content…

We examined hydropower and its environmental impacts in our discussion of fresh water resources. The third energy resource we want to take a closer look at is solar energy. The sun releases astounding amounts of energy by converting hydrogen to helium through nuclear fusion. The tiny proportion of this energy that reaches earth is enough to drive most processes in the biosphere, helping to make life possible on our planet. Each day, earth receives enough solar energy, energy from the sun, to power human consumption for a quarter of century. On average, each square meter of the earth’s surface receives about a kilowatt of solar energy – 17 times the energy of a light bulb. A typical home has enough roof area to meet all its power needs with rooftop panels that harness solar energy. The fourth energy I would like to cover is natural gas. Natural gas is a combustible mixture of gases hydrocarbons that accumulate in the porous sedimentary of rocks over 80 percent methane together with minor amounts of ethane, butane, nitrogen, and, sometime
