Edgar Allan Poe is a famous household name that almost anyone recognizes. But how did be become so famous, and why is he still noted today? The truth is Edgar Allan Poe was a revolutionary author and poet, and his works have greatly inspired many famous artists and musicians, who have carried his works on and taken their own unique twist to it. Poe is most known for his very dark style of writing. He used a dark tone and liked to set the mood depressing, and he often used very big words. His death remains a mystery, and historians have argued over what may have happened since the day it occurred. Some argue that the cause of his death was beating. Others say that it was due to a practice called “Cooping.” This is where crooked politicians hire goons to kidnap someone and force them to vote for the same candidate multiple times in different guises. This would explain why Poe turned up in clothes that did not belong to him. Another theory is that he was too depressed to live, and drank himself to death. The lack of suicide note nearly disproves this, however. The darkest, and worst of these theories, is that Poe was murdered. Kidnapped by the brothers of his soon to be wife, and beaten to death because they disapproved of him as a spouse for their little sister. Whatever be the case, Poe’s death is still a mystery, only fitting for the one who invented the idea of the murder mystery
