The death of an American writer and poet in the year 1849 has been a mystery for many years on how and why he died. For over 175 years many people have attempted to solve the murder of Edgar Allan Poe. With little evidence and many sides of stories and views, his cause of death was never determined. Hundreds of ways that Poe could have died, and the most reasonable one is murder. Out of many stories and evidence, but the evidence that makes the most sense is the murder of his fiancé Shelton's brothers. Accordingly, the reason that Poe could have died was murder by Shelton's fiance's brothers. So the people that saw that didn't think anything of it because they were doing the same thing to somebody else. I don't believe that the brothers would have forced Poe to drink something if he was unconscious. The way the brothers could have killed Poe could have been in a way that could almost be viewed as suicide. They could have suffocated him to death or even drowned him to death. After Poe was dead, the brothers then changed his clothing not only so that people wouldn't test his clothing for DNA or fingerprints, but also because if they were in a gang and practiced coping as well, that was something they were used to doing when they would change people's identity. So they did the same so that Poe wouldn't get recognized. When he was found dead, the hospital staff may have not checked his lungs for any damage and that is where they would have found the cause of his death. Hence, after all this, the brothers planned out Poe's death very cautiously and made sure they didn't leave any sort of evidence that would get them caught. Hiding the evidence after the murder could have been rocky for the brothers, and there had to be someone that saw them or suspected them for the murder. Poe's fiance would have been informed that her future husband was found
