Duan tried to get Xuan Zang to love and marry her, but she failed. Heartbroken, she ran away. Xuan Zang was left staring at the full moon thinking about Ms. Duan. Again, the monkey king tried to trick Xuan Zang into freeing him, but this time it worked. Xuan Zang ripped the flower suppressing the monkey king’s power because he thought that the monkey king wanted to see the full moon. The monkey king unleashed its power and tried to kill Xuan Zang. Xuan Zang prayed, so the monkey king bared his head. Before the monkey king could kill him, all the demon hunters except Ms. Duan and her crew showed up. They fought valiantly, but they were no match to the monkey king. The monkey king then turned his attention back to Xuan Zang. Before he could kill him, Ms. Duan came out of nowhere. With all her strength, she tried to stop the monkey king, but she failed. She died, leaving Xuan Zang to marry and admit his love to her. From that moment, Xuan Zang was enlightened. He was able to summon Buddha and was able to defeat the monkey king. In the end, Xuan Zang was able to bring out the inner goodness of the water demon, the pig demon, and the monkey king.
