Policy Statement
This policy is to guarantee that XYZ Credit Union is in consistence with GLBA and IT security best practices. By executing this AUP, alongside security mindfulness preparing to its representatives, XYZ Credit Union can alleviate chance and keep up a legitimately working business.

Purpose/Objectives
To provide guidelines that will be applied to provide information on acceptable use of the internet, the organizations own IT assets and systems, and the use of the e-mail system. It is also set to allow for security awareness training for employees to help follow these guidelines.

Scope
This policy covers all aspects the operation of XYZ Credit Union. This applies to its employees, by ensuring that they follow the guidelines set forth to protect the organization and its customers. This policy also applies to the organization’s systems and assets. By establishing an AUP for its assets, the company is securing itself against data breaches and misuse that can leave the system vulnerable to attacks and the theft of data. It also applies to the protection of its customers. Without proper use and policies to follow, this can lead to a privacy breach of customer data. Without its customers, XYZ Credit Union would not be able to stay open and functioning.
