This book, can relate to people who don't usually believe that they can make a change. That they have no effect on the world. This book, tells you straight up, that if you change yourself, you can change the world around you. This is very motivating, and a very awesome
In the search for happiness, both Ginny Graves and Ruth Whippman present their own ideas and beliefs. I believe that Whippman is more persuasive compared to Ginny Graves through her use of arguments and evidence. This can be attributed to Whippman’s arguments being reinforced with evidence and her expertise on the matter. Firstly, the use of real-life examples and statistics by Whippman provides context for her arguments, thus strengthening them.
After reading this book, my view has changed on this statement and I agree with it. Reading this book has changed my view because I now believe after reading this book, books are pointless if no one reads
The journey I was taken on while reading the novel had a beneficial effect on myself, expressed significance to the world about a common topic and showed how the main character gradually changed throughout the story. I felt
Right now I have goals, goals that I sometime doubt that I can achieve. Sure, I say that I will go through with everything I set up for myself but I feel that I will reach a point where I am too tired and fed up to continue to the end and give up. That’s something I don’t want to happen to me. Reading this book helped me remember that things like certificates, diplomas, money, wealth, etc. will not be handed down to me. I need to work for what I want, it will not be easy, but it will definitely be worth it in the end.
During that time in my life, I was healing from brain lesions that caused me to have slow processing speed. The public school, understandably, could not slow down its curriculum to wait for me to heal. As I read this book, I related to Melody and her struggles. Beyond that, this book taught me how to look outside of myself. It showed me that people tend to be more than they appear.
We have everything we need to be happy, but we aren't happy. Something's missing. I looked around. The only thing I positively knew was gone was the books I'd burned in ten or twelve years. So I thought books might help.
Happiness is the one thing that people sometimes don’t understand. When you sit down and think about your happiness you might find out that you’re not happy. And I think if you read this book it kinda brainwashes you to think about your happiness. I think bradbury also intended to make people think about it because he might know that people might think there happy even though their not “are you
The Buddha in the Attic by Julie Otsuka is an exceptionally valuable novel that everyone should read at least once in their lives. It follows multiple Japanese women who came to the United States as picture brides during the early 20th century, a period that was especially difficult for Asian immigrants. Otsuka explores the many different struggles that these women faced, such as financial struggles and anti-Japanese discrimination. The Buddha in the Attic provides an incredibly truthful portrayal of the experiences of Japanese picture brides in the United States, a greatly fair representation of the immigrant experience, and is entirely useful as it offers a new awareness of the many injustices that Japanese people experienced, which is a
Our daily choices; Do they really affect the way our lives perform? Something we may not think about often while loafing around at the house sunrise-to-sunset, is how much our reactions and responses connect to how your day goes. Essentially, this closely relates to the banning and censorship we see in bookstores and libraries perpetually. I, personally, assuredly believe that the actions of sensitive parents who worry about the content their children read, affects the education and facts that they are learning from literature. A person 's decision impacts others in an utmost way, because they provoke us to behave and act in specific ways, especially when it comes to cautious content in books and the censorship of them.
This is what I feel the book was trying to tell it’s audience, to not engage in risky or harmful activities just for self satisfaction or popularity, as it will do more harm than good. The book made me think about my past experiences and my own life, and it made me feel more confident in who I am as a whole. It allowed me to view my accomplishments, weaknesses, and goals, and make me proud of what I have done so

My whole life I struggled to understand what made reading enjoyable to people. I struggled to focus on the ideas of books. It wasn't until about a year ago I was given a book to borrow from a friend. I saw this friend as a mentor in my life and she felt I needed to read this book. I put off reading the book as long as possible but when I finally started progressing through the book my opinion had been altered.
It taught me that strength and perseverance can make a significant impact in life. I also learned that forgiveness and the ability to forgive is much more powerful than I ever realized. This novel sucked me into the story and its characters and took me on an emotional ride of highs and lows. Finally, it forced me to reevaluate my previous judgement of the homeless.
When I first met someone who didn’t like the book I was beyond shocked. Right at that moment, I realized that reading has its own effects on me. Reading has changed my writing skills, it has improved my knowledge and lastly, it has helped me manage my stress while going through hard times. Without reading I wouldn’t be the person that I am today.
