First location/time of Zoroastrianism
The religion started in Iran and India. One of the world’s oldest monotheistic religion is zoroastrianism The Zoroastrians
They were the descendants of the Parsis, also known as the Parsees, which means immigrants from Iran. Zoroastrians have dualistic and monotheistic features.
Founding of the Zoroastrian religion
About 3500 years ago, the Prophet Zoroaster founded the Zoroastrian religion in ancient Iran.
The religion was influenced by Islam and Christianity.

The Holy Book
The Avesta is the religious book of Zoroastrians that contains a collection of sacred texts. The history of the Avesta is found in many Pahlavi texts.

People must stay away from evil and practice with good intentions.
Belief in the divinity of creation- They believe that God created the world using HImself ( his actual body). So, that means the world is very sacred and holy. We have the responsibility to keep it in order.
Belief in the spiritual nature of the world and human beings-the spirit world came before the material world of fire, water, air, earth, plants, animals and humans. The first humans were Mashye (man) and Mashyane (woman).
Belief in polytheism (worship more than one god). Six Immortal Beings or Amesha Spentas who represent Ahura Mazda’s goodness.

Dead bodies are not allowed to be buried in the earth, they are allowed to be eaten by the other animals. They don’t believe in cremation. They think dead bodies should not be buried or thrown into the water. Instead they should be eaten by birds or just disintegrate.
Belief in the tradition of prophets-prophets come to earth at different times to keep the religion going and help the people. In the future Shoshyant (son of Zoroaster)will come to earth for Jugdment Day and destroy all the evil.
Belief in afterlife-in death the spirit leaves the body, but the soul stays for three days and three night. Then it goes to be into the spirit world following Daena, the guardian spirit. It is met with the thoughts and actions from its life. Then it goes to the Chinwad Bridge, where an angel decides if the soul should go to heaven or hell.
Belief in sin and expiation of sin- People get sin by not following the god, by not practicing the three commandments declared by Zoroaster, namely good thoughts, good words and good deeds.
Belief in the judgment day-it happens every 3000 years, god will destroy the evil people, on that day he will give the dead people another chance to say if they go to heaven or
