My personal best leadership experience is one of the most joyful parts of my life as a young man. I love football and it was in the game of football that I got my best leadership experience, being the captain of a football team I played in. The football team was a junior team of a popular football team in Abuja. It is (put football team name) in this team I started out as a substitute for the first team. Making cameo appearances from the bench was not a joy for a football player. At a point I taught
with an “H” on each leaf, one each for the head, heart, and hands. This was to be the membership badge for every boy and girl member of the Wright County Agricultural and Homemaking Clubs. Superintendent Benson said, “Out of the hearts, hands, and heads of these farm children was born the significant 4-H emblem. The emblem was used on placards, posters, literature, shields, caps, uniforms, badges, and labels. In 1909 he wrote that the first pins with the clover emblem came into use. 4-H was not the
1-a. History 4-H, the name of the largest youth development organization in the United States, is a term that means the four concepts of a clear “head” (clearer thinking), a true “heart” (greater loyalty), willing “hands” (larger service), and joyous “health” (better living). These concepts compose a green four-leaf clover of the 4-H emblem, representing intellectual development, moral development, development of a hardworking spirit, and physical development. That is, 4-H indicates the overall development
age of 16, but not in my case. Even though I am not a citizen, I can legally live in the U.S. and attend school, except the fact that I cannot work. It doesn’t make sense does it? Currently, any person with an H-4 visa cannot work while physically living in the United States. Having an H-4 visa means one cannot earn any income or possess a social security number. This law also prohibits things like working from one’s own home, obtaining used stuff for the purpose of selling it on eBay, or providing
Throughout my life, 4-H has made an impact by shaping me into the person I am today and leading me on the path to become who I want to be. I have been given many opportunities to broaden my horizons, develop critical life skills, and make experiences that will always be with me. I was raised in the small town of Milan, Michigan. As I grew older, I heard so many stories about my father’s experience in 4-H. I wanted to have the same opportunities to experience what he did through 4-H. At the age of 6
My most significant 4-H accomplishment is when I was about 9 years old when I first began my 4-H career. Growing up my mother had told us about the time she was a kid. She had been in 4-H and had shown cattle for many years. I thought that was very interesting and thought I should try it. My mom is my hero so I wanted to follow in her footsteps. We started going out to my grandparents’ house everyday to learn how to show and take care of the cattle. It was a very fun experience and I had learned
moment. Something that the memory of just fills them with pride. As I sit in my 4-H lawn chair, watching the Scarecrow Fest parade, I am reminded of the time I won the 4-H Demonstration Contest. It was a warm summer day, and I was about twelve years old. I had been practicing my speech for weeks and now the big day was finally here. I woke up with butterflies in my stomach and could barely choke down any breakfast. The 4-H Demonstrations Contest was always a huge part of my summer. First I would begin
of the responsibilities I had to conquer was taking care of my 4-H goat, Clover. What I didn't realize, was that it was more challenging than I expected. I, also, did not conclude that even though it was chaotic and exhausting, it made me better with animals, and now I can spend more time with them and be careful around them. I feel that this experience changed me for the better. When my mom asked me to take care of my 4-H goat, Clover by myself one day, I told her I would. I mainly did
leadership experiences that you have had in 4-H program and through other organizations/school. In my 4-H story I address the leadership experience I've had in 4H and school. Through my own 4-H club I've been able to be a mentor and leader to the younger kids. I help my 4-H leader lead activities and events during our meetings. Over the summer I also teach kids about goats and help them train and show them. From the leadership skills given to me by 4-H I am able to be a leader in other communities
in some fashion. Without agriculture we would not exist. As an active Texas 4-H member, I participated in many 4-H ambassador programs. This includes four years as a Texas 4-H Water Ambassador, three years as a Texas 4-H STEM Ambassador, three years as a Healthy Texas Youth Ambassador, and one year on the Texas 4-H Council. Individually these opportunities provided different influence on my future; however, the Texas 4-H Water Ambassador
Slowly and then all at once, the end of the school year crept closer to me and I still had not chosen an act for my Texas State 4-H Roundup competition. All motivation for the competition remained absent, or at least effectively hidden from sight. Originally I had planned to dance with my friend. Together we had cheorographed a beautiful number and eagerly awaited the day when we could display our skills in front of the judges. But in late March my mom received an unfortunate call from her mother
“I am the President of my 4-H club.” When I say these words I am proud. I am proud of all that I have learned through 4-H, and how it has allowed me to grow. 4-H has impacted me by giving me the skills to reach my full potential. One important aspect that I have gained through 4-H are life skills. From day one doing chores every day to waking up in the middle of the night to bottle feed baby goats. I have learned the value of hard work. And that if you do work hard then you can accomplish great
spring break of 2016, I knew exactly what I was going to do . This leadership academy enabled me to network with a few of the current state 4-H officers, giving me this exciting idea. I made up my mind to become an Arkansas 4-H State Officer! Becoming a State 4-H Officer would mean I could have more opportunities to mentor the future generations of Arkansas 4-H. Although I have always been busy with other organizations, such as FFA and the Arkansas Junior Angus Association, I have always kept in mind
H. H. Holmes 2 H.H. Holmes: A Prince and His Murder Castle A lot of people are oblivious to the things that happen in our world. Many people don’t know about serial killers in the United States. Someone may wonder who was the first ever serial killer. Did he do it for fun or did he do it out of anger? Was all of this on purpose or an accident? No one will ever know the real reason why H.H. Holmes killed many innocent people. The unsolved case of H. H. Holmes has multiple theories as to why some say it's unsolved and some say it's solved. H.H. Holmes was an American serial killer in the 19th century. The way he would kill people is just brutal. He would torture girls and then kill them and sometimes
