• What Are The Arguments For Or Against Teen Curfew?

To Start off, the city council is considering a curfew that would make it illegal for teenagers to be out on the streets after 10 p.m. on weekdays or after midnight on weekends. They wish to do this Because they believe Teens will be more respectful towards adults. The city council is wrong Because this will cause added stress on them leading to more disrespect towards adults. This proposition would be very ineffective and should not even be thought about. Next, If this Proposition would go through it would not help at all because everyone needs to learn from their mistakes if made, especially teenagers. Also, letting them make their mistakes is very beneficial so it lets them know not to do it again. When you take away A teens curfew it's very effective in the long run because it lets them bond as a society a build up in their generation. It also helps them grow maturity which I know all of the older adults would like. To add on, with no curfew towards teens it gives them a chance to endure true freedom and see how life as an adult will be in the future. …show more content…

If a teenager has a good curfew it can stop the gang violence. Teen curfews help control gang activity by reducing the opportunities for members to gather, which helps cut down on violent and drug-related crimes associated with gangs, according to the United States Conference of Mayors in a 1997 study. Also, a goods night sleep for school is very important because education is key and will very effective later in life. Furthermore, drugs affect teens in a very bad way, causing them to go to jail, losing friends and family, and even their life so if they were at home in time with a set curfew to would start to decrease and keep all Teenagers
