Week Four Devotional Luke 10:27 God’s command is for us to love Him with our total being. This cannot be accomplished on our own. Apart from God, it is impossible to love Him. One must know God for who He is.
“Love your neighbor as yourself.” This command, given by Jesus’ in Mark 12:31, tells everybody love others just as much as themselves. Okay, like I said, at the end of the revolution I was living in France and slowly growing accustomed to the French culture and people (91-99). The time that I spent in France helped to give me many opportunities and helped me understand the value of my mind and intellect (103). However, we soon returned to England (104). Doing so is not is not our mission. Christians are to be servants of God. If we followers of Christ serve God out of love and obedience, we will be rewarded in Heaven for whatever persecution we may endure here on earth.

The reader consciously knows Jesus is God’s only son, nevertheless making the role of sacrifice an even harder burden to carry.

While the other gospels emphasize the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven, John instead emphasizes new life found in Jesus. Jesus frequently uses metaphors to hint at his identity. John records more of these analogies than any other gospel, giving us some of the most famous word pictures for Christ.
