101 Things I Wish I Knew When I Got Married In the book 101 Things I Wish I Knew When I Got Married by Charlie Bloom and Linda Bloom, They made a list of 101 things that really narrowed down the most common things that people face in relationships or have to go threw together. In the list of 101 things I found two chapters that really stuck out to me. In these two lessons were something that I have lacked in my previous relationship with my friends and girlfriends.What I will be mainly talking about is my past relationships with my past girlfriends that I had and how i had a very hard time communicating with them and being open about my feelings. These were my first relationships, i have learned a lot from them. The first lesson is number 72 in 101 Things I Wish I Knew When I Got Married by Charlie Bloom and Linda Bloom (2004) states, ”Facing your fears builds strength; avoiding them diminishes it.”(p.184). In this lesson Linda talks about her relationship with Charlie and how her shyness affected her being more open with Charlie. This chapter really plays a big role in the past relationships that i have had. I am really shy to open up about thing and will hold back a lot of my feelings or things i want to say that might risk our relationship. I have been trying to fix this issue with some of my siblings, i will try to be more open about things that were really difficult to talk about in the pat with them. Ive been taking little steps with these issues that i have been facing. In my most recent relationship I was much more open about my feelings and thoughts that I was thinking, it also might of been the reason we broke up. Now i'm working on what is the right thing to say at the right time, so I won't be upsetting the people around
