Sometimes it’s good to give someone time to think by himself or herself a way of doing things especially when it comes to girls; you just have to give girls time to think of a new way of doing things. One day Elizabeth wanted to make Sam angry and she stood in the group and announced how she feels so that Sam feels jealous.
Right before he started high school his best friend shot himself, but there is also another, worse reason for his problems. At school Charlie meets Patrick and Sam, both of whom are outsiders too, just cooler ones. Patrick is gay and before his stepsister Sam introduced him to "good" music, he was a popular kid. They introduce Charlie to all kinds of new things. Parties, drugs and rock music become new parts of Charlie's life and for the first time he knows what it really mean to have good friends. Charlie’s sister didn’t appreciate Charlie, but came to love him and trust him as she did when she was younger. During the time Charlie’s sister was involved in an abusive relationship, Charlie unwittingly informed his parents of the situation. After a discussion with her parents, Charlie’s sister scowled I hate you and she said it differently than how she said it to our dad. She meant it with me and she really did.
