The final bags were filled with extras ( toothbrush, toothpaste, food, etc.).The car was very empty on the way there. My dad was driving. My mom was in the passenger seat and I was in the back with my sister. On they way there we saw a really cool, broke down farm. It was still up and running but, it didn 't have any animals.
"Nothing Gold Can Stay" Tell about a time when you tried to hold onto something that you considered "gold". Tell what it was, why it was "gold" to you, and how you lost it. Describe what you did to try to hold onto it. Were you successful, or did you lose it? How did you feel about the outcome?
We returned home and there we stayed till we heard gunshots. We were only home for a hour it took a hour for the Germans to take over the town of Zgierz the town i used to call home was no longer home to me it was the start of my horrible lifetime and may i say it was bad luck for my dad because he soon returned when poland was defeated. At this time i was only seven years old at seven i was taken from my home and was forced to walk 11.4km to you it might not be much but for a seven year old that's a long
There is a saying in the Oklahoma City Police academy, “bring everything, everyday.” This statement is a lesson to the recruits to make sure they have everything. Because you never know what you are going to need, like black cross trainers, which is what I did not bring. I failed when it came to following through on the statement of “bring everything, everyday.” I did not bring my cross trainers, honestly because I did not think we would need them.
While sleeping at one of the Russian’s safe house, they are attacked by german
Don Pedro and Horatio are similar in the sense that they are supportive friends. First off, Don Pedro is a very unique prince because he is humble. At the beginning of the play, he greets everyone with respect, especially the Governor Leonato who is allowing them to stay in Messina. Since Don Pedro is the victor of the recent battle, he could be cocky and view himself as superior but that is not the case. Instead he is a supportive friend and shares a close bond with his fellow soldier Claudio.
When we heard the Germans were attacking we grabbed whatever we could and we ran. We left everything behind, but it did not matter because the Germans bombed our village and we lost everything, we are lucky to survive. We ran for 3 days straight, no sleep, no food, no water. We did not even know if we were still in poland, but we knew we had to stop and try and find food. When we stopped where the forest screech with the sounds of war planes and tanks.
It was the end of 1942 I warned them, but they didn't listen. Foolish of them for not listening, but shame on me for not trying harder. The urge in some people to blow me off as crazy is preposterous. I came back to the town of Sighet to warn the people that death is approaching. I myself was nearly killed a few weeks back as they shipped me out of my own town for being a foreigner.
First, the setting of this story takes place in the past, present, and the future. The central point of this story; however, is in a city of Germany called Dresden. On the night of February 13, 1945, Allied bombers dropped incendiary bombs on Dresden, creating a firestorm that destroyed the city (Source Cox, F. Brett). Billy, the main character, describes his experience before, during, and after these bombings took place. From the wondrous moments of scouring Dresden, to being captured alive by
Many people have certain objects that either bring out an emotion within themselves or remind them about something in particular. These certain objects represent different aspects of life. For example, a beloved family heirloom that has been passed down for generations could evoke memories and feelings about family members who have passed on. Personally, I have never had anything special given to me from family members or anything, in particular, which I kept from when I was growing up. My color guard rifle, FFA Official Jacket, and my copy of the last picture I have with my sister all hold importance to me due to each object representing either transition, love, or loss in a period of my life.
If I were a soldier, my day would be a constant reminder of what I was preparing to do. As a civilian, I would have been concerned about attacks from the enemy and would be living under food rationing and blackouts where your windows and anything that could create light had to be covered in case of nighttime air attacks from the Germans.
One day when I woke up I was getting ready to go to America. I was leaving with my Dad, Mom, Sister, and my Brother. My family and I are leaving leaving from Germany and going to America. We are going to bring clothes such as shirts, pants, underwear, socks, shoes, and hats. We will also bring soap, food, and other stuff like that to survive in America.
During that start of the war. First hand account “Anyone who leaves the house is being shot. There are snipers on every building and the army is in the streets. We are just staying inside now, because you know that if you try to leave the house
I’m bringing money to buy extra tools and gas for car, food such as canned soup, noodles, fruits, fruit snacks, and snack bars. I would also bring a machete, hammer, first aid kit, tent, sleeping bags, ponchos, toilet paper, lots of blankets, and a car for transportation. A group of us would go up north to South Carolina. There will be an abandoned building that all of the people which I’m grouped
Most transformative moments in life can be caused by the smallest of occurrences in life. Often people do not even realize that a pivotal moment in their life is happening. Someone may realize when they are mature enough that there was one special moment during their childhood that ultimately determined their lifelong goal. For others, they probably realized an “aha” moment right when it happened and from then on decided that they knew what they want to accomplish later on. I actually have taken from both sides of the spectrum from realizing that one special transformative moment but also not even knowing that it would end up steering me towards my current career choice.
