The Internet is watching you Orwell's book, 1984, shows how people are programmed to believe what the party says. For example, in the Two minutes of hate, where people come as a whole and let out all of their distress and build up anger, this is an example of how people are controlled. Orwell's heroes under the party’s surveillance try to ban certain thoughts from their minds, somehow that resembles how we are beginning to monitor our ideas and actions below the influence of the internet. The Ministry of Truth erased and altered records as needed, to better align with Party policy. We all know that children can easily be scarred and manipulated by all kinds of information. We are concerned that parents will not have enough control over which books their children read and that they will be easily misled by publishers into thinking that these books are appropriate for their child's interests.
