(i)The “Green Revolution” stands for the change in agricultural techniques such as fertilizer and insecticides, which eventually led to the increase of the productivity of the field.
(ii)Fertilizer helps the crops to grow faster and bigger. Insecticides kill insects that may damage the crop. Machines help farmers to sow the weeds and to harvest.
(iii)In China and India, Green Revolution had significant impact on crop yield.
(b) Firstly, the emergence of banks help farmers to achieve commercialization in agriculture, and also allow them to buy agricultural machines and pay the debt after harvest. Secondly, the transportation system was more advanced. This allows farmers to ship the crop to the market or to the city.

Over using pesticides is also going to be a damage to the environment. Secondly, in many places an important environmental protection policy is to return farm lands into wilderness, which means the acres of land available decreases.

(a)Mass production of cars in the 1950s and the 1960s make it more available to the citizens. They can travel to suburbs from cities in a very short time.
(c) Ideas against metropolitan city life was popular at that time because big cities were badly managed: high crime rates, air pollution, and crowded living space. Many people preferred the peaceful and quiet life in the suburbs.
(d) In many cities, education is better in the suburbs than in the city center.
