Over my short, seventeen-year lifetime, I have had passions in many areas, from geography to soccer to leadership. However, as I have grown older, I have had a growing passion for the schools in my area because they taught me everything that I know and have given me all the opportunities that I have taken advantage of. Because of this growing passion, I became involved in two very important organizations that influence the future of the Sartell – St. Stephen School District: the Community Schools Planning Initiative and the Sartell – St. Stephen Board Of Education. The Community Schools Planning Initiative was launched at the start of 2015 in order to come up with a vision for the future of the Sartell – St. Stephen School District and a plan to match that

The connection between poverty and low graduation rates is nothing new and it is a problem James City shares with much of the United States. Messacar and Oreopoulos (2013) cited several factors for the low graduation rates including conflicts at home and financial difficulties. Students living in poverty often face issues outside of school that their middle-class peers do not which lead to disengagement and, eventually, dropping out of

The following will analyze the Saginaw Intermediate School District (Saginaw ISD) and their ability to meet the needs of those people it serves as well as those individuals they employ. Stakeholder Groups Recruiting and retaining active stakeholders increases, “Greater community support and buy-in, varied perspectives, a better understanding of the community context and an overall, more effective effort,” (Morgan, Stakeholders and Collaborators, 2018).
Essay 2 Polk State Lakeland Gateway to College High School Program is the only program in my knowledge that allow students to graduate with both an AA degree and a high school diploma. I am interested in this program because I will have to opportunity to grow academically and learn from the older students who attend Polk State. Since I have problems with socializing, I feel that attending college with mature students would help me become comfortable speaking to others and making new friends.
Over the summer school officials met to review the mission statement of previous years and decided it was time for a change. Our previous mission statement was "The Mission of Charlotte Valley Central School District is to create a learning environment that challenges and motivates each student to become a self-sufficient, cooperative, responsible and attributing member of a global society while encouraging each to achieve his or her highest potential. " This was felt to be too long, busy, too much and not direct enough. So the officials worked together to create a new statement around the six core beliefs. Students first, trust, ownership, communication, collaboration, and growth mindset.
Week after week, I continued to grin and bare it until finally, I reached my last week. As I finally sat down at my last meeting of my last day, I listened to our boss talk about all the positive feedback the camp was getting from both parents and campers. The majority of the girls who came had had the time of their lives. In the end, that was just what made all our suffering worthwhile. I sat and looked around at all the familiar faces I had come to know so well in so little time.
Every academic institution has a set of objectives that are lined with a purpose. The purpose is to educate individuals to be well -rounded members of society. These individuals may become leaders or simply productive members of society, however it is their education that gives them the backbone to be either. Every organization has a set of goals and a mission that separates it from all other institutions as well as gives it a certain reputation in the community. The overall mission, vision, philosophy, and goals are the underlying purpose of the organization that makes it unique, Iwasiw(2015).
Adults from the community are invited to lend their expertise and to connect with the student “campers.” While the adult leaders spend months planning, we know that we cannot possibly do this without high school student volunteers. It is their connection to the campers that makes the program successful. Many of the high school students are returning volunteers and it is a joy to see the high-vies, hugs, and chatter as they reconnect.
This organization concentration is on students. Education is one of the biggest factors in our society. It not only helps you get a better future, but it will also help your family in the long run.
