Pros and cons of 4 day school weeks

I think that the four day school week is better than the 5 day school week. Because we have more free time than we did with the 5 day school week. We now have more free time and have a 3 day weekend instead 2 day week, so we have more time to do weekend assignments compared to the 2 days we had to finish tons of work. Studies show that students perform better in their school work on a 4 day school week compared to a Five day school week. we ended up saving $200,000 that school year by switching to the 4 day school weeks.

Pros towards a 4 school week

The benefit of a 4 day school week the school district saves a lot more money. 5 day school day weeks can put schools in a crunch so they switch to a 4 day school week. They have the ability to adapt to changes and can appreciate the benefits of a 3 day weekend. However, other students learn differently and are not always able to handle the dramatic shift in the amount of time that they are able to spend with their teachers. Detractors of the 4 day school week point to the fact that at risk children and those with learning disabilities may not be able to get the most out of a 4 day school week. The 4 day school week works best for a child who is self-motivated and does not serve the needs of children who do not learn in the same way. Longer days lead to a decrease of focus, which can cause grades to slip for students who already struggle with concentration. Another problem that is caused by 4 day school weeks is when summer gets cut shorter. and you have to start school sooner than a 5 day school
