One Tragic Morning According to research, “It was the worst day we have ever seen, but it brought out the best in all of us” (n.d.). This quote demonstrates that 9/11 was one of the worst days for Americans. The feeling of sadness and pain that many people faced was tragic. September 11, 2001 caused many Americans to have a whole different perspective on life. This event increased terrorism, PTSD, and many other things in America. The airport policy was less strict and there were not nearly as many rules or procedures. Some people would say that before 9/11, security was almost invisible. Research suggests, “The 9/11 terrorist attacks have been intensively examined as both tactical and strategic intelligence failures but less attention has been paid to the policy failures which preceded them.” (Marin, 2013, para.1). While people might wonder why God would allow bad things to happen to good people, Jesus prepares people for the fact that tribulation and hard times will come. This shows that everyone will face challenging times whether they are a good person or not. According to Isaiah 55:9, “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts” (ESV). It is impossible for people to comprehend the ways of God. Humans are limited by their brain’s ability to function, but God is not limited by anything and is able to do, think, or accomplish anything he wants.
