Being in the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) program is more than just being a cadet, it’s about who you are as a person, your commitment, and the relationships you’re able to build within yourself along with others. It was never about sending us to the military. It's about whom we get to be when it's time to choose. It's about the mission to become better citizens, and although it has yet to be accomplished, we’ve come so far. So how do we keep going the distance? Having all the needed supplies is very important because the supply represents the program, starting from ASU to the black dress shoes. Making us look like a whole unit no matter the kind of Military force that it is under. Uniforms of the particular force they’re under in the program are what we represent, it has to be known how serious we are about JROTC. We can’t go outside looking like whatever because we would be dishonoring the actual military along with the ones who’ve served the country. I would also start advertising the JROCT program because people would be able to gain a bit of knowledge within. Also, this would help with the assumption that children would be sent to the military. Advertising is very important because this could us the program gain more popularity, and being able to keep the program open soon. These are the two main initiatives that I take into consideration very seriously because it focuses on the whole unit itself, not just the SAI or higher.
