In the movie, A Christmas Carol, there are many differences than the play. Some differences in wording could be a result of the actor messing up. The movie has parts included that are not in the original play. This could be a result of more modern technology. Most of the most important things are included in both. There are many aspects of the two are also very much alike. In both the play and the movie all three of the ghosts show up. I just don’t think the movie would be the same without all the ghosts. In both the play and the movie Scrooge’s former co-worker, Jacob Marley, shows up in ghost form wrapped in chains. He tells Scrooge of the ghosts that will visit him, and this marks a change for Scrooge’s actions on Christmas.
