In the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, I deduce that the male characters have made the most dramatic influence to its readers, thus far, in Acts I and II. In my perspective, the men bestow their standpoints profoundly and they are the initiators of numerous quarrels, which impacts the plot by amplifying suspense. To begin, Romeo commences conflict overall, by having the audacity to love the daughter of his sole enemy. "My name, dear saint, is hateful to myself, Because it is an enemy to thee. Had I it written, I would tear the word"(1024).

In act 2, scene 2, Juliet assumes an unconventional role and asserts her control over Romeo in order to achieve independence and fulfill her desires. As Juliet discovers Romeo’s presence in the Capulet garden, she does not suppress her curiosity towards him and questions him without hesitation. When she first sees him, she states, “What man art thou that,... / So stumblest on my counsel?”
In the beginning of Act Three Scene II of Romeo and Juliet, the nurse yells, "he's dead' he's dead, he's dead!" to Juliet who was thinking about Romeo at the time. What Juliet does not know is that Tybalt and Mercutio died because Tybalt killed Mercutio in a battle, which resulted in Romeo killing Tybalt. Juliet assumes the worst about Romeo since she was thinking about him. The reader can also assume that the nurse is foreshadowing the death of Romeo since she repeats the words, "Hes's dead!"
Romeo and Juliet, such a beautiful story/play written by William Shakespeare. For many years people have read William’s story/play, and many people have come up with their own interpretation and made their own version into a movie or play. Such as the movies Romeo and Juliet (1968), Romeo and Juliet (1996), and the play Romeo and Juliet (2014). The two movies and play have many similarities. Of course, all three do the acts of Romeo and Juliet, they all tell the story of the lovers and how their sad story went.

Act IV of Romeo and Juliet, provides a whirlwind of emotional thoughts and structures of choices as to how Romeo and Juliet will eventually see each other. First, Friar Laurence and Juliet make a plan to avoid Juliet’s marriage to Paris, which involves her telling Capulet that she will marry Paris, faking her own death, and eventually running off to Mantua to be with Romeo. When Juliet returns home, she apologizes to her father and tells him that she will marry Paris the next day. Then, Juliet tells the Nurse and Lady Capulet that she wishes to be left alone, and prepares to drink Friar Laurence’s potion. Juliet ponders if Friar Laurence is trying to kill her, or what will happen if she wakes up in the tomb, but never doubts that Romeo
Romeo and Tony, the lead male characters from the play, Romeo and Juliet, and the film, West Side Story, are similar and different in many ways. Both are young men who fell in love with women from rival groups, and their love led to their tragic ends; however, they also possess different backgrounds and experiences that make them unique characters. In this essay, I will highlight the similarities and differences between the characters, and determine which was the more effective character. Between Romeo and Tony, it is evident that both are passionate, emotional, and deeply in love with their subjective lovers. Romeo is deeply in love with Juliet and is willing everything to be with her, even death, as he once said, my life were better “ended by their hate, than death prorogued, wanting of thy love,” (Act II
Romeo + Juliet Five words to describe Baz Lurhmann’s “William Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet” is frantic, amplified, energetic, different, and fresh. These words best describe Baz Lurhmann’s interpretation of the most famous play in history. He captures the truth and the meaning behind the story while modernizing the story as a whole. In my opinion, I find Baz Lurhmann’s screenplay more entertaining than the actual play itself.
“Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare entertains the audience through use of character, language and drama. The plot focuses on the theme of conflict and consequences, using deep characterisation, descriptive language and high drama to entertain. Act 3 Scene 1 focuses on a brutal feud between two enemies and Act 3 Scene 5 follows the patriarchal society’s approach to women marriage and societal expectations. Shakespeare forces the audience to engage with the idea of conflict and what it must have been like to live through this time. Shakespeare cleverly utilises a changing atmosphere in Act 3 Scene 1 to expertly entertain his audience.

In Act I we are introduced to the conflict between the Capulets and Montagues and the romance between Romeo and Juliet. For Act 1 I chose the song “every time we touch” by Cascada. The feelings that Romeo and Juliet have for one another are shown in each line of this song. Act I opens with Romeo lamenting his love for Rosaline, and feeling distraught that she does not return the love he has for her. Shortly after that Romeo is convinced to go to a Capulet party to distract him from his sorrow over Rosaline.

How does Shakespeare’s Portrayal of Romeo and Juliet’s relationship become so captivating for the audience? Act 2 scene 2 is one of the most important and well known scenes in Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’. In this scene, Romeo and Juliet openly declare their love for each other for the first time in the play, which is done partially in soliloquy and partially in dialogue. The atmosphere that Shakespeare creates in Act 2 Scene ii is one of excitement, expectation and a little fear on the part of the audience.
