Stakeholders are greatly invested in the activities conducted by these corporations because they tend to affect the prosperity of the group. These stakeholders could be greatly affected by the activities of corporations and the main goal of these corporations is to bring in consumers so that they can increase their profits. However Tibor Machan’s paper was much more agreeable as compared to John Waide’s paper because, advertisements although manipulative are the cause of a booming economy and a whole lot of jobs. The advertisers should not be required to portray all the information about the product in the commercial because not everything can be said in just fifteen seconds and also as long as the rest of the information provided in the commercial is true and not deceptive, the sellers and advertisers are not doing anything morally wrong or with the intention of harming the audience. The customer should learn to be more aware and ask whatever questions need to be asked before the product is purchased. If the seller is untruthful when the customer inquires about the product, that kind of behaviour is considered deceptive and morally wrong. What was questionable about John Waide’s paper was the fact that he considered associative advertising morally wrong since the advertisers were targeting the audience’s emotions. However, if they were not to do this, the commercials would never be watched and people would not buy the products thereby causing sales to decrease and the economy to fail. Advertisers need to set a target when making commercials since they have to make it more appealing and convincing to the audience’s
