President Barack Obama’s speech was very informative to those who watch the speech and those who thought it wasn’t interesting. President Obama and his associates guaranteed that the current year 's State of the Union location would be characteristic, and he conveyed on that guarantee. It was a somewhat unusual speech. Surprisingly committed to countering Republican possibility for president, unusually free and clever, and somewhere else extremely clever, leaving behind the tragic peaks of past locations for a wonky and clever however no less passionate request for civics and a superior governmental issues. I believe the objective of the speech, assistants said in reviews, would be for Obama to start to case his own legacy for the antiquarians.

When you read both candidates' arguments you can see both are very strong. But You would think one would have a better approach right? When I first read both candidates' arguments I noticed how they’re both similar but each of them added their own beliefs in their approaches. I believe that Chisholm's Speech had a better argument than Obama’s.

Their Inaugural speeches were different but they said some things that were similar. In this essay I will talk about some things that were said that were similar and different.

In George Washington 's very 1st inaugural, he uses three rhetorical strategies: personification, amplification, and last but not least, repitition to convey what he truly wants for the States and why a successful Constitution should be in order.

After analyzing both George Washington’s and Barack Obama’s inaugural speeches, there are similar points and various subjects. George Washington was America’s first ever President, elected in 1789. While Obama is a more current President, (44th President), elected in 2009. Both speeches were written in different time eras, which explains the style of the speeches. The comparisons in the speeches are subtle but can be seen.
By doing this he showed respect to the holders of office, and showed that he was part of the people. This is very similar to what Lincoln and Kennedy did in their respective speeches. On April 30, 1789 George Washington gave his inaugural speech and oathed to be the first president of the united states. On January 30, 2009 Barack Obama gave his inaugural speech. During George Washington speech senator William Maclay of pennsylvania remarked that George Washington looked agitated and embarrassed. During Obama's speech he looked confident and he acknowledge the crowd very well.

On March 18 2008, Presidential candidate Barack Obama delivered a speech towards and against his Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s and these comments and thoughts made by him are what triggered this speech because Barack Obama needed to deliver this message as soon as possible with the election coming up. The subject was based upon racial issues in America, it was being spoken towards undecided voters at the moment. What candidate Barack Obama was trying to deliver was that he does not agree with the statement made by his Reverend but understands the cause of it. An allusion is a reference to something real or fictional, to someone, some event, or something in the Bible, history, literature, or any phase of culture.

Bush gives an effective inaugural address by using biblical allusions, collaborative language, and an anaphora in order to unite the country after a contentious election. Bush used biblical allusions to appeal mostly to the evangelicals who were listening to his speech.
Barack Obama’s win for President in 2009 was a historical moment for the United States. His inaugural speech was much anticipated, because this was going to set the tone for his presidency. His speech told the American people that improving the economy is one of his priorities, but there were also other areas he would like to improve like healthcare and the education system. This was a speech that was meant to persuade the American public to take action for them to rise as a nation again, and for them to put their trust into him.
