As we all know World War 1 and 2 were the largest military conflicts in human history but they both have their differences. World War 1 is known as the First World War, The Great War, The European War, and The War of the Nations, but was fought in Europe from the year 1914 to 1918. The world warring nations were divided into two groups, the Allied Powers consisted of France, Britain, Russia, Japan, Italy, and in the later years, the U.S.; and the Central Powers consisted of Germany, Austria- Hungary, Bulgaria, and Turkey. Colonial rivalry between the Great Powers was an important factor in increasing suspicion between the countries.
